Snippo is built on a simple principle: your clipboard is private. Everything stays on your PC — no servers, no tracking, no exceptions.

Data collected

Snippo stores your clipboard history locally in an SQLite database on your PC. This includes:

  • Text, links, colors, and code snippets you copy to the clipboard
  • Image thumbnails for image and screenshot clips
  • Timestamps for each clip
  • Source application name (e.g. "Chrome", "VS Code") when available
  • Pin status and category assignments you create

None of this data ever leaves your device. Snippo has no cloud sync, no backup service, and no remote servers of any kind.

Purchase & licensing

When you purchase Snippo, your payment is processed by LemonSqueezy. We receive your email address solely to deliver your license key. We do not store, see, or have access to your payment card details at any point.

License activation

On first launch, Snippo contacts the LemonSqueezy API once to validate your license key. This request contains your license key and a device fingerprint. No clipboard data is sent.

After successful activation, Snippo operates fully offline. The activation check is not repeated unless you reinstall or transfer your license.

No tracking

Snippo contains:

  • No usage analytics or telemetry
  • No crash reporters or error tracking services
  • No third-party SDKs that connect to the internet
  • No advertising identifiers

Your clipboard activity is never monitored, profiled, or shared with anyone.

Data storage location

All clipboard data is stored in an SQLite database at %APPDATA%\snippo\snippo.db on your machine. You can delete this file at any time to remove all clipboard history permanently. Uninstalling Snippo does not automatically delete this file.

Children

Snippo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Snippo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
